Stack the Deck | Preparation is Key to Peak Performance
Share
Stop "winging it" and start winning. Most people walk into the gym or a boardroom hoping for the best, but the real ones have already secured the "W" before the clock even starts.
If you want to dominate, you have to stack the deck so that failure is literally off the table. Here is how you lock in that victory before you even break a sweat.
1. Know Your Numbers
Don’t guess. Check your logbook or your data. If you did 10 reps last week, you’re hitting 11 today. The win is decided before you touch the bar.
2. Prime the Engine
Fuel up and pack your kit the night before. If your meals are prepped and your gear is ready, you’ve already killed the excuses. You aren't "trying"—you’re executing.
3. Visualise the Lift
See the rep or the deal closing in your head 10 times. By the time it happens in real life, your brain thinks it’s just a repeat performance.
4. Have a "Plan B"
True power is knowing you can walk away or pivot. If you have a backup plan, you can’t be rattled. You stay calm, and the calm person always wins.
The Bottom Line: Do the boring work early so the "match" is just a victory lap. Prepare, execute, and collect the win.
